Baosteel to invest further in its Zhanjiang plant
Baosteel's listed company has announced on the Shanghai Stock Exchange that it plans to build another blast furnace, a steelmaking plant and rolling mills at its Zhanjiang Steelworks. After completion of the project, the total capacity of Zhanjiang Iron & Steel is expected to reach 12.25 million tonnes/year of iron, 12.53m t/y of crude steel and 10.81m t/y of finished steel, Kallanish notes.
