Baosteel reaches 4mt continuous pickling capacity
Shanghai Meishan Iron & Steel Co (Meigang) in Nanjing has put a thick plate pickling mill into production, with a design capacity of 600,000 tonnes/year.
Baosteel, Meigang’s parent company, has now formed 4 million t/y of continuous pickling capacity through five mills across its four bases, including Meigang, Kallanish notes. The company’s pickling capacity is the largest in the world.
