AVTOVAZ becomes owner of former Nissan Russian plant
Russian carmaker AVTOVAZ will become the owner of the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg, says AVTOVAZ president Maxim Sokolov.
Last October, Nissan's executive committee approved the sale of its Russian assets to NAMI, subsidiary of Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (see Kallanish passim). The plant has suspended work since 14 March 2022 due to interruptions in the supply of components.
