Annual EU coil contract talks gain momentum
The signals heard last week from the negotiations for annual European coil supply contracts with automotive and other big customers have been largely confirmed, as more talks come to a close.
According to an observer from an automotive supplier, several contracts have been struck between mill groups and big carmakers, allegedly including BMW, Mercedes, Stellantis and Renault. “Talks took a big leap forward since [last] Friday,” he says.
