Angang, Bengang maintain flats offers for May
Major Chinese flat steel manufacturers Anshan Iron & Steel (Angang) and Benxi Iron & Steel (Bengang) on Monday maintained quotations for all their flat steel products for May this year, Kallanish notes.
Angang and Bengang had previously boosted prices for hot rolled coil by CNY 700/tonne ($102/t) from December. However, a slow recovery in demand is believed to have hit confidence and pushed the two companies to stop forcing prices higher.
