Amurstal eyes higher output, focuses on new exports
Russian Far Eastern steelmaker Amurstal increased steel production in 2022 and will focus on new exports destinations, says the plant’s general director, Grigory Freidin.
Volume amounted to 383,000 tonnes, up by 7% on-year, which is a record over the past 30 years, Kallanish notes. In 2023, Amurstal plans to increase finished steel output to 400,000t despite the difficult global geopolitical situation, the enterprise claims.
