AMKR decommissions oldest sinter plant amid war
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR) is decommissioning its oldest sinter plant, which previously supplied blast furnace No.1 with sinter at the rate of 8,000 tonnes/day, Kallanish notes.
According to the company, instead of four sinter shops, the enterprise will remain in operation with three.
Currently, only the modernised agglomeration plant No.2 is operating, but production there does not exceed 3,000 t/d of agglomerate, AMKR says.
