US steel imports rise in March
The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) shows a 14.2% increase in imports in March over February.
Based on data included in the AISI report, Kallanish learns that the US imported 2.6 million short tons in March. Of this amount, 1.9m st were finished steel goods. On-year, total and finished steel imports are down 11.5% and 14.5%, respectively.
