ThyssenKrupp evaluating plans for VDM specials unit, no concrete talk of a sale
Germany’s ThyssenKrupp (TK) says it has no short-term plans to sell its special stainless steel and nickel alloys company, VDM, based in Werdohl. Last week, there were reports locally that German trade union IG Metall had suggested an imminent sale of the business based on discussions between VDM’s workers council and VDM’s parent company TK.
