Mexico extends duties on Chinese steel chain
Following a sunset review, Mexico has decided to continue imposing antidumping duties of $0.50/kg of welded steel link chain from China, the country’s official journal announced on 21 July. Mexican steelmaker Deacero complained that the duties were too low and their removal would negatively impact domestic producers.
The duties were first imposed in July 2003 at $0.72/kg but this was amended in 2010 to $0.50/kg. The HS code for the affected product is 73158202.
