Chinese steelmaker eyes Zelezara Smederevo acquisition
Zelezara Smederevo has become the target of a potential acquisition by a major Chinese steelmaker, according to the Serbian government.
In a statement seen by Kallanish, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said that one company from China is interested in buying state-owned Zelezara Smederevo, and that that is the “second biggest” company for steel production in that country.
