China set to allow foreign ownership of steelmakers
China will officially allow foreign majority ownership of steelmakers from 10 April 2015, according to a final list of revised restrictions published by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on Friday. The level of access to investment remains uncertain, however, as restriction extend beyond the national ban, while the desirability of many Chinese steelmakers is also in doubt, Kallanish notes.
