Zangge, Ultra to advance $290m lithium carbonate project in Argentina
Chinese lithium producer Zangge Mining Investment and its Canadian partner Ultra Lithium plan to invest $290 million in a lithium carbonate project in Argentina’s Catamarca province, Kallanish reports.
The companies are progressing the Laguna Verde lithium brine project forwards. An initial $40m will be spent in exploration and development, followed by a $250m conversion plant to produce lithium chemical. The latter will be developed by Zangge.
