VW to explore battery supply chain cooperation with Canada
Volkswagen will work with the Canadian government to establish an ESG-focused cooperation that may secure supply of battery raw materials and create a battery value chain in North America.
The parties signed an MOU on Tuesday in Toronto as part of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s visit to Canada. The agreement sets ground for VW’s battery company PowerCo to explore opportunities around the supply of critical materials such as lithium, nickel and cobalt.…
