Volvo Trucks starts mass production of heavy electric trucks
Volvo Trucks started on Wednesday the mass production of three heavy electric truck models in Europe, ramping its electric line-up to six models, Kallanish reports.
The Swedish manufacturer said the Volvo FH, Volvo FM, and Volvo FMX trucks can operate a total weight of 44 tonnes. Equipped with 2-6 batteries of 180-540 kilowatt-hours of capacity, the models offer ranges of up to 380 kilometres, 300 km, and 320 km, respectively.
