Volvo, Geely dive deeper in cooperation, remain independent
Sister companies Volvo Cars and Geely Auto are deepening their collaboration to maximise their strengths through synergies while maintaining corporate independence, Kallanish reports.
The Swedish and Chinese automakers, owned by Geely Holding, said in a joint statement their agreement includes the creation of a new company to focus on next-generation powertrains for hybrid systems and internal combustion engines. This company should be up and running this year.
