Volvo Cars to trial near-zero emission steel by 2026

Swedish automaker Volvo Cars says it has secured near-zero emission primary and recycled sheet steel from SSAB, which it plans to use in one of its car programmes by 2026. Without disclosing specifics of the new contract, Volvo notes it was the first carmaker to team up with SSAB to explore near-zero emission, high-quality steel for the automotive industry.
