Volvo Cars’ production hit by ‘specific’ semiconductor shortage
Swedish carmaker Volvo Cars says its production guidance for 2022 will be negatively impacted by the lack of a specific type of semiconductor, Kallanish reports.
The company is experiencing a “temporary worsened production situation” and will adjust production volumes. Now it expects only a marginal growth in sales volumes compared to 2021 as the supply “disturbance” is set to last throughout the second quarter.
