Volvo Cars expands EV production capacity in Belgium
Volvo Cars is readying to expand its electric vehicle manufacturing capacity at Ghent, Belgium, ahead of its second Recharge model mass production start later this year.
The automaker is tripling capacity at its Belgian plant, which by 2022 will manufacture 60% of the company’s total cars production. The factory currently produces its first fully electric XC40 Recharge and the plug-in hybrid, XC40, Kallanish notes.
