Volvo Cars’ EV sales rise 14% in April
Volvo Cars’ electric vehicles sales increased 14% on-year in April, reflecting a growth boost in China and offset by a decline in the US market, Kallanish reports.
The Swedish carmaker owned by China’s Geely said on Wednesday it sold 20,628 EVs, of which 8,830 were BEVs and 11,798 PHEVs. The so-called Recharge models made up 40% of all Volvo Cars sold globally. The total market share for BEVs ended up at 17% last month.
