Volvo Cars’ BEV sales more than double in October
Swedish carmaker Volvo Cars said Wednesday its sales of all-electric vehicles (BEVs) rose 186.8% year-on-year in October driven mostly by the European market, Kallanish reports.
A total of 8,148 BEVs were sold worldwide last month, compared to 2,841 units a year earlier. The growth reflects Volvo’s electrification expansion and ramp up of new production lines. Yet, robust demand continues to be challenged by persistent bottlenecks limiting vehicle supply.
