Volvo Cars backs StoreDot’s extreme fast charging tech
Volvo Cars said Tuesday it has invested in Israeli battery technology start-up StoreDot through its joint venture with Northvolt, Kallanish reports.
The undisclosed investment gives Volvo Cars Tech Fund the opportunity to collaborate closely with StoreDot on “exciting” new battery technology, the carmaker notes. Volvo plans to become a pure electric car company by 2030 and is the first premium carmaker to invest in StoreDot.
