Volvo Cars appoints tech expert as its new ceo
Swedish carmaker Volvo Cars announced on Tuesday its new ceo will start in March and has no experience in the automotive industry, Kallanish reports.
The company owned by China’s Geely Holding is appointing Jim Rowan as a replacement for Håkan Samuelsson, who has been in the post since October 2012. Rowan will join Volvo Cars on 21 March as ceo and president. He’s currently the ceo of Ember Technologies and previously ceo of the Dyson Group.
