Volkswagen Group Components expands battery system production at Braunschweig
Volkswagen Group Components has started the second production line at its battery system manufacturing plant in Braunschweig, Germany, Kallanish reports.
The new line is adding capacity to deliver 250,000 battery systems per year. Once fully ramped up, the plant will have a production capacity of 500,000 systems/year for the models based on the modular electric drive matrix (MEB).
