Vattenfall plans to build world’s first offshore hydrogen cluster
Swedish power utility Vattenfall plans to build the world’s first offshore hydrogen cluster in the Dutch North Sea, Kallanish reports.
The project off the Netherlands coast is proposed to operate three wind turbines equipped with electrolysers. Green hydrogen produced in the 45-megawatt cluster, part of the Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farm, will be transported via a pipeline to the Port of Rotterdam and fed into the hydrogen network there.
