USGS to begin geological survey flights over 4 Mid-Atlantic states
The US Geological Survey is launching low-level geological flights over parts of four Mid-Atlantic states, starting in mid-August and continuing through December 2022, Kallanish reports.
The flights by helicopters or aeroplanes will operate over northern Maryland, southwestern Pennsylvania, northeast West Virginia and northern Virginia. The flights will cover 10 Maryland counties, 21 Pennsylvania counties, 16 West Virginia counties and three Virginia counties.
