SMMT downgrades UK EV outlook for 2022
The UK’s automotive industry has downgraded its new car market outlook for 2022 as parts shortages continue to bite into manufacturing and delivery volumes, Kallanish reports.
According to trade body SMMT, the outlook for new registrations of electrified vehicles will shrink by 42,000 units this year. The overall outlook is now revised down from 1.89 million cars to 1.72m units.
