UK’s EV market maintains growth in May
The UK electric vehicle market continued to grow in May, with sales rising 822.4% year-on-year and 17.8% month-on-month, Kallanish learns from SMMT on Friday.
Total new passenger car registrations of battery electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) reached 35,975 units last month. Together, they accounted for a 23% market share, compared to 48.4% petrol, 9.9% diesel and 18.8% mild hybrid.
