UK car market reaches 1m EV milestone in September
The UK reached the 1 million electric vehicle milestone in September, as registrations for BEVs amount to the second-highest ever volume last month, Kallanish reports.
According to the Society of Motors Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), UK drivers and fleets have now registered over 1m rechargeable EVs, a quarter of which were registered in this year alone (249,575 units). The “bumper month” for EVs led to a combined new car market share of 35%. …
