UK electric car production up 42.1% in October
UK car factories recorded the best overall October performance since 2019, with electric vehicle production rising 42.1% on-year to represent four-in-10 UK-made cars, Kallanish reports.
Data released Thursday by automotive trade body SMMT shows that overall car production increased 31.6% in October to 91,521 vehicles. The production boost comes amid rising exports demand, particularly in the EU and Turkey.
