UK car production slips 9.7% in August amid plant upgrades

The UK car production dropped 9.7% in August after six months of growth, with electrified models accounting for 36.6% of all cars manufactured in the country, Kallanish reports. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said on Thursday 45,052 cars were produced in UK plants.
