UK BEV sales see weakest growth in July
The pace of growth of new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in the UK is slowing down, with July having the weakest monthly uplift recorded since the pandemic, SMMT said on Thursday.
Data by the automotive association shows that new BEV registration grew 9.9% on-year last month to 12,243 units, resulting in a market share of 10.9%. However, in a year-to-date comparison, BEV sales rose 49.9% to deliver a 13.9% market share, Kallanish reports.
