UK BEV manufacturing hits new record share in total car production
UK battery electric vehicle manufacturing surged 52.9% on-year in November, a major contrast to overall car production, which fell for the fifth consecutive month.
Data released by the Society of Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) on Thursday shows that 10,359 BEVs were produced in the UK last month, hitting a new high of 13.7% of all production. This is more than double the level in 2020, Kallanish learns.
