UK backs Pensana refinery with 'multi-million pound' funding
The UK government said on Friday it has backed Pensana with a “multi-million-pound investment” for the country’s first magnet materials refinery, Kallanish reports.
The undisclosed funding was granted under the £850 million ($1.02m) Automotive Transformation Fund (ATF). The £145m Saltend facility, which will process rare earth elements mined in Angola, is set to be the second-largest outside China.
