Ucore Rare Metals to build $55m rare earth processing plant in Louisiana
Ucore Rare Metals says it intends to build its first rare earth separation plant in Louisiana, after that state offered a $9.6 million package of tax incentives and payroll rebates over 10 years in a non-binding agreement, Kallanish reports.
The location of the $55m Louisiana Strategic Metals Complex to produce materials for rare earth magnets has not been determined. A brownfield site with 50,000 square feet of space is envisioned. That decision will be made…
