Turkey’s Koc Holding gets environmental approval for battery plant
The environmental impact assessment (EIA) process has been completed and approved for Koc Holding’s lithium battery cell and battery factory project in Ankara.
The facility, to be established on an area of 532,000 square meters in Ankara, has an investment cost of TRY 32 billion ($1.4 billion). It is a joint venture with Ford and LGES. The South Korean manufacturer had replaced compatriot SK On in the project originally announced in March 2022.
