Toyota's Hino receives punishment for emissions data violation
Japanese automaker Toyota's holding subsidiary Hino Motors recently received punishment due to an alleged emission data violation. In addition to the penalties from the Japanese government, Hino was also officially expelled from Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation (CJPT), a joint venture with goals to develop electric commercial vans and light-duty fuel cell electric trucks for the mass market, Kallanish learns.
