Toyota may start mass production of fluoride-ion batteries
Japanese automaker Toyota may soon start the mass production of fluoride-ion batteries that it has been developing, according to Chinese battery media OFweek.
Similar to lithium-ion batteries, fluoride-ion batteries are also a type of rocking chair battery, meaning during the charging and discharging process fluoride ions keep intercalation/deintercalation while travelling back and forth between the cathodes and anodes.
