Thailand to host regional clean-mobility summit
Thailand’s Ministry of Energy plans to host a clean-mobility showcase in July to spur investment and cross-industry cooperation, Kallanish understands.
The Future Mobility Asia conference will take place on 20-22 July at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, alongside the Future Energy Asia summit.
“Thailand, one of the leading EV manufacturing hubs in Southeast Asia, has set a roadmap to manufacture 1.2 million EVs by 2036,” says ministry chief inspector general Twarath Sutabutr. “Thailand Ministry of Energy Future Mobility Asia 2022 will play a crucial role in accelerating the energy transition, by creating the platform to share and co-create innovative clean mobility to drive the kingdom’s EV hub ambition and attract investment into the entire EV value chain.”
Supporting associations include the Asian Federation of Electric Vehicles Association; the Association for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles; the Association of Electronic Industries in Singapore (AEIS); and CHAdeMO - EV Fast Charging Organisation.
“Future Mobility Asia 2022 will bring together key players in the EV ecosystem in Thailand and the greater ASEAN region to create a better and bigger digital EV community,” says AEIS executive director Eileen Ang. “Through the intermingling of buyers and sellers in this niche industry, participants will create more opportunities for one another by exhibiting, networking, and conferring with one another.”
