Tesla produces its 5 millionth car in Shanghai Gigafactory
Tesla has recently produced its global 5 millionth car at its Shanghai Gigafactory, Kallanish learns from the company.
The EV manufacturer said it took 12 years to reach its first millionth milestone, but that production of the second millionth was achieved in 18 months. Within 11 months, Tesla had produced 3 million cars, adding another million in seven months. The final milestone celebrated with its staff in China was reached in six months.
