Tesla, Panasonic ink new battery deal through 2022
Tesla has announced a new long-term battery pricing scheme with Panasonic in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Kallanish reports.
The deal between the two companies was signed 29 December and announced in a 4 January filing. It will run retroactively from 1 October, 2020, through 31 March, 2022, “relating to the supply by Panasonic of lithium-ion battery cells manufactured by Panasonic in Japan,” Tesla says.
