Tesla, Huayou Cobalt ink precursor supply agreement
Tesla is negotiating a three-year precursor supply agreement with Huayou Cobalt, the Chinese cobalt producer announced in a security filing on 31 July.
Through its subsidiaries, the companies signed a supply framework agreement for ternary precursors, running from 1 July, 2022, to 31 December, 2025. Pricing will be determined according to market prices of nickel, cobalt and manganese, plus processing fees, Kallanish learns.
