Tata Motors concludes takeover of Ford’s Sanand plant in India
Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML) has completed the acquisition of Ford India’s car manufacturing plant at Sanand, Gurajat, Kallanish reports.
The transaction, first announced in August 2022, involves the purchase of the plant with machinery and equipment, the entire land and buildings of the Sanand property, and transfer of all eligible employees. The EV maker paid Ford INR 725.7 crore ($89.27 million) for the deal.
