Stellantis to spend CAD 3.6 billion to retool 2 Ontario auto plants

Auto giant Stellantis says it will spend CAD 3.6 billion ($2.8 billion) to retool two Ontario auto plants to increase production of electric and hybrid vehicles, Kallanish reports. The retooled plants, in Windsor and Brampton, are to be operational by 2025. The work will allow the company to build vehicles on new platforms to develop fully electric models.
