Stellantis, Ample partner on EV battery-swapping programme
European automaker Stellantis has partnered with California-based start-up Ample to explore battery-swapping services to Stellantis EV customers, Kallanish reports.
The companies signed a binding agreement and will work together to integrate Ample’s technology into Stellantis EVs. Thanks to its modular design, the batteries can fit into any EV without requiring Stellantis to reengineer its vehicle platforms.
