SSE, Equinor plan to start Keadby hydrogen station on natural gas
Scottish energy company SSE and Norwegian gas major Equinor said their planned Keadby hydrogen power plant in North Lincolnshire, UK would be “dual fuel in nature,” Kallanish reports.
The project was first unveiled in 2021 as the world’s first hydrogen-fired power station, and the UK’s first power plant with carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology. Then, SSE said the plant could have a peak demand of 1.8 gigawatts of hydrogen.
