SQM to invest in Azure Minerals, Andover lithium project
Chilean lithium producer SQM is investing AUD 20 million ($13.95m) in Australia-based miner Azure Minerals, Kallanish reports.
The proceeds of the transaction will help Azure explore and develop its Andover lithium-battery metals project in Western Australia. The strategic investment is seen as a strong endorsement of the significant lithium potential of the project, Azure Minerals says.
