South Korea to investigate Kona EV recall amid new fire incident
South Korea’s Transportation Safety Authority (TS) is investigating the recall of Hyundai’s electric model Kona after a fire incident on 23 January, the country’s transport ministry said Tuesday.
The reported incident happened when the EV was charging at a public station in Daegu city. Hyundai hasn’t publicly commented on the event and potential causes for the fire, Kallanish notes.
