Samsung SDI to supply EV batteries to Hyundai
South Korea’s Samsung SDI has reached a seven-year battery supply deal with the Hyundai Motor.
From 2026 to 2032, Samsung SDI will supply Hyundai with prismatic batteries for its electric vehicles, with the effort targeting the European market. Kallanish notes this is the first EV battery partnership between the entities, though the size of the deal not disclosed.
