Russian EV sales decrease amid sanctions, war
Russian domestic sales of electric vehicles (EVs) decreased in April, according to data from the Russian analytical agency Autostat monitored by Kallanish.
Sales of new electric cars fell to only 180 units, down by 11% on-year. In March alone, Russians purchased 262 new EVs, which is 2.1 times more than in March 2021.
At the same time, it is worth recalling that the entire Russian automotive market for new cars fell last month by 84%.
